The Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open (total prize money of 1.1 million Singapore dollars), the opening game of the 2023 KLPGA tour, is about 10 days away.

This tournament heralds the birth of the first champion as the world’s three major women’s golf tours, including the Korea Women’s Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), the United States Women’s Professional Golf Association (LPGA), and the Japan Women’s Professional Golf Association (JLPGA), are mobilized.

With a total prize money of about 1.1 billion won, this tournament shines with a large number of top stars participating.

Park Min-ji, who won the 2022 season prize money and most wins (6 wins), grand prize winner Kim Su-ji, and rookie king Lee Ye-won, will participate.

As for the LPGA Tour players, Atiya Titikul (Thailand) and Choi Hye-jin, who were honored with the rookie of the year this season, and Noh No-rim, a Korean-American, have confirmed their participation.

Tticul, who won 2 wins in the season, rose to No. 1 in the world rankings at the end of October.

Titicul, currently ranked third after Nellie Koda (USA) and Lydia Ko (New Zealand), has the highest world ranking among the participating players.

Shin Ji-ae, who jointly won 61 wins in the LPGA (11 wins), JLPGA (28 wins), and KLPGA (21 wins), and Jeon Mi-jung, a veteran with 25 wins in the JLPGA, will represent the JLPGA Tour.

In addition, a total of 102 players, including the top 72 players on the KLPGA tour and 30 players from the Asia Pacific region, will compete.

The opening match of the 2023 KLPGA tour and the winner of the new tournament will be given the right to participate in the KLPGA for 2 years and enjoy the status of the first champion.

Hana Financial Group will participate as a title sponsor in the Singapore National Championships for the development of women’s golf in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open will be held at the Tanamera Country Club (par 72/6,486 yards) in Singapore from December 9 to 11.
